Adif High Speed ​​(AV) has been awarded by a total of 112 million euros of works contracts for the construction of the urban integration and conditioning platform of the Ourense railway network corresponding to two sections of the Madrid-Galicia AVE line.

According to the company reported this Saturday in a statement and collected by the EFE Agency, these are the sections Taboadela-Tnel de Rante and Tnel de Rante-Conexin Seixalbo of the outer Ourense variant of the aforementioned high-speed line.

Specifically, the section Taboadela-Tnel de Rante has been awarded to the temporary union of companies (UTE) formed by Construcciones Snchez Domnguez Sando and Rover Infraestructuras, for 83.4 million euros; while the Tnel de Rante-Conexin Seixalbo section has been awarded to Rover Infrastructures for 27.5 million.

Both contracts include the execution of the platform works (infrastructure) of the sections, including the sub-ballast layer, so that the superstructure (track) and the rest of the railway facilities (electrification, signaling or communications will be the subject of other subsequent contracts). ).

The Rante tunnel is the most important work of these awarded sections, since it is a monotube tunnel for double track, 3,410 meters in length (60.9% of the total section) and 85 square meters of section.

Right at the beginning of the section, a 356-meter-long viaduct will be built to cross the junction with the N-525 road and the Barbaa river.

Likewise, Adif AV has awarded a consulting and technical assistance contract for the control of the works of the Tnel de Rante-Conexin Seixalbo section, to the UTE formed by the companies Applus Norcontrol and Eptisa Servicios de Ingeniera for 1.6 million euros.
