Panama- Members of the Single Union of Construction Workers (Suntracs) and the Federico Britton National Communal Movement (Mocona FB) continue to protest today, Thursday, on the steps of the Supreme Court of Justice (CSJ)

The protesters demand the release of the 7 detainees from the informal settlement Tierra Prometida, La Chorrera, who were evicted several weeks ago.

Their lawyers reported that the prisoners had been in the cells of the Tocumen Transitory Center since November 5. They have presented some appeals to the CSJ that have not been addressed.

In addition to setting a new date for the hearing on November 18, thus prolonging the unjust detention and condemning these social activists to 10 more days in prison when they already serve 14 days behind bars, after their arrest last Monday, December 25. October.
