The epidemiological situation reflects significant progress in health matters, taking into account that the vaccination campaign has intensified in recent months. In this way, the Ministry of Health updated the health portfolio to provide information on the delta variant, the ratings and other issues related to coronavirus in Argentina.

The Ministry issued a release that explains, in detail, how the situation is progressing. On the one hand, the greatest concern they have, from the health sector, is the increase in cases due to delta variant. It was reported that “we have 61% of the total country being delta and 80% in the AMBA. Community transmission is also observed in the provinces of Salta, Neuquén, Santa Fe and Tucumán ”.

Another concern is the increase in COVID-19 cases in children and adolescents, although the month of October had the lowest number of cases of the year. This data may be more evident because a large part of the adult population already has the complete vaccination scheme or, at least, they already have their first dose applied. Therefore, from the Ministry they encouraged an urgent vaccination.

On the other hand, Argentina continues with the authorizations and the increase in capacity. A very important news was that the country managed to enter the white list of the European Union, something that was expected not only by the national authorities, but also by the traveling population. In turn, the national territory is considered safe for receptive tourism, so the opening of international borders is imminent.

A new authorization is that You can enter the country with land transport and ferry (100% capacity for the latter medium). However, you must enter with a PCR and complying with the regulations: “Land transportation is authorized through buses through the points of entry, meeting the same requirements as for border entry, which is the PCR at least 72 hours before and the complete vaccination schedule, ”the statement said.

Finally, the Government announced that the total capacity in massive events, be it football matches, recitals, among others. Thus, it was indicated that “as of November 16, as the launch of the match in San Juan, Argentina with Brazil, the increase in capacity in mass events will go to 100%, recalling once again the need and requirement of entry with, at the less, a vaccination dose ”.
