Lapil congratulated Bennett on a successful meeting with Putin. The Israeli Foreign Minister said that after these talks, in the afternoon, he spoke with Lavrov by phone and invited him to visit Israel.

“The relationship between Israel and Russia is important. We will continue to work together to ensure Israel’s security in all areas, ”Lapid said.

According to the statement of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Lavrov and Lapid discussed the future building up of mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries in various fields. The ministers discussed topical issues on the international and regional agenda, including the situation with the Iranian nuclear program.

Earlier, Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett described the meeting with Putin as excellent. He stressed that the negotiations were deep and meaningful. The office of the Israeli politician added that the meeting was “warm and positive.”
