Bolivia

The Attorney General of the city of La Paz, in Bolivia, ratified the closing of the judicial process, of course electoral fraud in the 2019 elections in favor of Evo Morales, confirmed the dismissal of the electoral authorities of that time and ordered the definitive file of the case.

“(It) provides the conclusion of the process in relation to the aforementioned defendants, the cessation of the precautionary measures that had been imposed and the cancellation of their criminal records,” ordered the fiscal William Alave, in a resolution presented to the press, Telam reported.

The definitive dismissal of the six exvocales of the Supreme Electoral Tribunal (TSE) It was issued in response to a challenge from the current TSE, to a ruling issued in July by the Attorney General’s Office, which concluded the process due to lack of evidence. Also over the last year, the members of the nine departmental electoral courts in the country had also been dismissed for lack of evidence.

Alave said that the challenge did not provide evidence that could modify the criteria of the Attorney General’s Office, which, for its part, took into account several technical reports and especially an audit of the University of Salamanca, from Spain, which misrepresented a report from the Organization of American States (OAS) who suggested fraud without proving it.

«The case is now definitively closed; now the truth is imposed and it is proven that the ex-ocals were unjustly persecuted, violating their guarantees and rights, ”said ex-ocal Mamani. The alleged fraud, which opposition sectors used as an argument for permanent mobilizations after the elections, is still denounced by parties and civic groups that reject the Government of Luis Arce, of the Movement Toward Socialism (MAS).
