The Front for the Safeguarding of Democracy (FSD) has supported the ongoing transition in our country. The information was given through a press conference that the front hosted on Tuesday, October 12, 2021.
Among the organizers of the meeting, we noted the presence of several personalities from political parties and members of the M5 / RFP including Namba Coulibaly (CRNOP), Paul Ismael Boro (Rama), Kadidja Coulibaly (2nd vice-president of URD), and Boubacar Traoré (member of the M5 / RFP strategic committee).
The said conference is a legitimate reaction of the FSD to the remarks “unpleasantly made by the highest French authorities” against the Malian authorities. From the outset, Mr. Aboubacar Touré, member of M5 / RFP and FSD, recalled that the press conference is being held, 48 hours after the release of sister Gloria Cécilia Narvaez detained since 2017 by jihadist groups, including the FSD rejoices and congratulates the highest authorities, while urging them to get more involved in the release of all the other hostages held in the Sahel.
Indeed, the Prime Minister head of government, representing the president of the transition, Colonel Assimi Goita, at the UN platform in New York, on the occasion of the 76th session, painted the situation of Mali, ” entangled for years in a complex and multidimensional crisis in which France is a major player ”. It did not take more to see it get high without any restraint on the Prime Minister of Mali and the institutions of a country for which she declared urbi et orbi to have come to help get rid of jihadist groups operating in the Sahel.
According to the speaker Touré, “ the observation made by the Prime Minister in New York on September 25, 2021 is very clear, objective and meets the agreement and support of the vast majority of Malians, whether they are from the center, the north of the west or the south of Mali “
“The FSD carries the flag of the fight for a Mali koura, congratulates the president of the transition, Colonel Assimi Goita and his prime minister, Dr Choguel Kokalla Maïga for their courage in the face of adversity and their concern to see Mali recover. all its territorial integrity, national unity and dignity. The observation of the lack of results is poignant. Despite the presence of Barkhane, with enormous military resources from the Minusma, the joint force of the G5 Sahel, the FAMa and European Takuba forces formed under the aegis of France, the Sahel in general, the center and the north of Mali in particular still remains under jihadist influence, ”he noted.
According to him, the FSD is delighted with the ongoing operations and gives its unwavering support to Colonel Assimi Goita, president of the transition and his government, and “ welcomes the determination of the transition authorities, strongly encourages them to continue the operation in name of the principle of admissibility so that the country is totally rid of these bad practices which have lasted too long. ”
However, the FSD thanks the international community for its multifaceted support, congratulates the government on the appeasement of the social climate and encourages it to pursue the path of dialogue to find lasting solutions to the various demands.
