The strong gusts of wind shook the Region and keep the yellow alert in force

Despite the sun that illuminated the afternoon of this Thursday, the Commune preventively raised the Risk Attention Level (NAR) to “Yellow”, given the winds with gusts of up to 55 kilometers per hour forecast for today.

Already from 5:00 p.m. the sky was covered in La Plata and strong gusts began to be felt. In the image published by this medium, a fallen tree can be seen on diagonal 115 and 43, in Barrio Hipódromo.

In a statement issued from the municipality’s Hydrometeorology Directorate, they specified that “Between 4:30 pm and 5:00 pm, a blast front will be entering from the southwest. They will have an intensity between 50 and 60 km / h, so we ask you to secure loose objects on balconies, terraces and patios”.

Given the forecast, the municipality of La Plata recommends citizens not to circulate on public roads, not touch cables or light poles and remove flowerpots or other objects that can fly off balconies and windows.

In the case of having to circulate in a vehicle, do it slowly and with the low beams on; stay away from trees and utility poles; and removing flowerpots or other objects that can fly off balconies and windows. At the same time, it is advisable not to remove the waste.

As for the temperature, the maximum today climbed to 23 degrees. Towards the end of the afternoon it will deteriorate with some isolated rains and a change of the wind to strong from the southwest with gusts.
