On the occasion of the celebration of the fourth anniversary of Formar, the Directorate of Continuing Teacher Training of the Ministry of Education held a meeting at the ATSA Complex, which brought together 2,000 teachers to participate in the conference “The challenges of the school in times of development technology and hyperconnectivity “.
The meeting was in charge of the graduate in Psychopedagogy and Specialist in Educational Management, recently appointed as Undersecretary of Educational Management and Quality of the Ministry of Education of the Nation, Mauro Di Maria.
For this reason, the Minister of Education, Juan Pablo Lichtmajer; together with the Secretary of Education, Isabel Amate Pérez, the Director of Continuing Teacher Training, Cecilia Villanueva; directors of all levels and modalities; They were present in the place to accompany the educators in a day that aimed to reflect on current educational issues.
Since its creation in 2017, Formar carried out training courses that had around 663,000 places, of which 302,403 were enabled throughout 2020 during the coronavirus pandemic, which implied the use of more technology to multiply teacher training places .
In addition, 405,698 certificates are being issued to date; with an annual average of 25,000 trained teachers.
Formar guarantees rights, attentive to the Provincial Law of Education Nº8397, which in its article 9 mentions the aims and objectives of the educational policy; in its subsection 6 on dignifying and prioritizing the teaching profession; and its subsection 30 on strengthening teacher professional development.
