Without giving product brands, he explained that in the first weeks of October, dishwashing detergent increased by almost 82%, paper napkins 27%, coffee 23%, preserved lentils 22%, feminine protection 13%.

In this sense, he considered: “The ability to control is collective, it is social. They are the political, institutional, civil society organizations, it is territorial ”. And he stated: “The Secretary of Commerce has the capacity and has a body of inspectors or relays of 300 people, but the fundamental thing here is the commitment of mayors, of union organizations.”

Likewise, and in a clear message to the business sector, Feletti objected: “Here the important thing is to understand among all that the popular income, the worker’s salary is not defended only in the joint”. And he called to “give joy to the Argentine people.” “It is not so difficult to agree on a basic basket. This year the balance sheets of the food companies are very good ”, he showed.

In the same talk, the Secretary of Commerce said he did not understand some price increases, so he insisted on his recommendation that companies can obtain more profits by selling more before “the expansion of consumption.” “We are not asking them to lose money, because we are seeing that consumption is going to accelerate,” he appealed.

And he stressed: “They are summoned from social responsibility.” At the same time, he warned that he is not afraid to put into practice State tools such as the Consumer Defense Law, the Competition Defense Law and the Supply Law. “But I want an Argentina of agreements, I am a Peronist,” he said.

“3.5% increase in inflation”

It is worth mentioning that the freezing of 1,245 articles of mass consumption will be launched within the framework of a battery of government measures that seek to curb inflation and reactivate economic activity. This came this Thursday after Indec reported that, after a five-month decline, inflation gained momentum in September and registered an increase of 3.5%, with persistent pressure on the food sector.

Thus, the annualized measurement climbed to 52.5%, amid official concern. In numbers: between January and September, the general level of the Consumer Price Index (CPI) accumulated a growth of 37%, thus exceeding the 36.1% registered throughout 2020. According to the official survey, the foods that the most increased in price during September were squash, with 30%; round tomato, 20.7%; and the banana, 13.4%.

Ground coffee also had significant increases, 10.8%; bottled beer and salami, in both cases 8.9%; the «Vienna» type sausage, 8.3%; dulce de leche, 8.2%; and fresh milk in sachets, 8.1%. According to official figures, deodorant increased 7.3% throughout September; still water, 6.8%; canned whole tomato, 6.6%; bleach, 6.5%; fine salt, 6.4% and soap in bread, 6.3%.
