Telecinco cup the Top 10 of the programs worst valued by viewers

Antena 3 is once again the channel best valued by viewers, according to the results of the last wave of the Personality Media Image Study of 2021. For the eighth consecutive year, the Atresmedia channel ranks as the preferred channel and it does so with its highest scores in history in this report and obtaining, for the first time, the maximum number of categories: it leads 10 of the 11 analyzed and with the highest percentage increase in recent years.

On this occasion, the study, on the perception that the consumer has of the main free-to-air channels on the television map in Spain (image, programming and professionals), was carried out last June, surveying 16,623 Spaniards, over 16 years of age.

Antena 3 scores the highest scores in “Various programming” (30%), “Best informative programs” (30%), “Entertaining” (30%), “Higher quality” (26%), “Good presenters” (33%), “Innovative” (21%), “Like all audiences” (30%), “I identify with your programming” (23%) , “Preferred channel” (17%) and “Greater credibility” (22%).

La 1 de Televisión Española repeats as the “Most respectful” network, with an outstanding 31%. However, this time it loses the leadership in “Credibility” (21%). La Sexta occupies the second position 6 times: “Good presenters” (19%), “Innovative” (18%), “Entertaining” (17%), “I identify with your programming” (16%), “Varied programming “(14%) and” Preferred Chain “(9%).

On the other hand, Telecinco stands out with 15% as “Entertaining” chain and 11% in “Like all publics”. The main chain of Mediaset Spain does not manage to head a single category and what is more worrisome it takes the worst possible positions of this study.

Within the wide range of open programming for the past year, a query is made on the 84 main programs with the greatest impact, of which 35 are ‘day time’ and 49 are ‘prime time’. If we look at the Top10 of higher quality, taking into account the complete grid, Antena 3 places 4 formats, followed by La Sexta with 3 programs, and La 1, which makes 3 of its spaces appear.

Antena 3 leads the ranking with ‘Pasapalabra’, which signs a formidable 43%. This is followed by ‘Antena 3 Noticias’ (36%) and Karlos Arguiñano (32%), which this year experienced a 3-point rise compared to last year’s study. Lower are ‘Investigation team’ (31%), ‘La Sexta noticias’ (27%) and ‘Lo de Évole’ (27%), which rose 6 points, the highest rise on the list. La 1 achieves three outstanding positions: ‘Telediario’ (30%), ‘MasterChef’ (27%) and ‘España directo’ (25%), although all of them lose positions with respect to 2020.

And on the opposite side we find Telecinco, which takes the ranking of the worst quality spaces. The main chain of Mediaset occupies 7 of the 10 positions. Always according to this study by Personality Media, the worst rated program would be none other than ‘Save me’ (69%), followed by ‘Deluxe’ (62%), ‘The island of temptations’ (49%) and’ El program de Ana Rosa ‘(47%). Curiously, they are also the most watched programs on the network and on television in general. The reality ‘Survivors’ and Rocío Carrasco’s docuseries are not exempt from appearing on this list. Even in eighth position, Josep Pedrerol’s sports program, ‘Jugones’ (La Sexta) appears.
