New Realme 8i arrives in Spain, mobile with a 120 Hz screen for less than 200 euros

Realme has announced the launch in Spain of the new Realme 8i, a mid-range / low-end model that stands out for its screen and processor.

Although the Realme GT is the company’s model that has gained the most prominence in 2021, we cannot forget that the brand has always stood out for its ‘entry phones’, that is, the cheapest. The new 8i continues that tradition, being the first in many things.

For starters, it is the first smartphone to arrive in Europe with the new Helio G96 processor by MediaTek. With no less than eight cores, it has the potential to be a reference in this sector; two of these cores are more powerful, of the A75 type, while the remaining six are smaller, the A55. It is capable of reaching up to 2.05 GHz, and has been optimized for the Realme 8i; in fact, it is presented as a joint project between Realme and MediaTek.

The Helio G96 will come with 4 GB of RAM, but thanks to DRE (Dynamic RAM Expansion) technology, it is possible to expand it to up to 7 GB using internal storage; although we will only have access to this function in the model with 128 GB of storage, and not in the basic 64 GB.

It is thanks to this new processor that Realme claims to have been able to put a 120 Hz display in this mobile, due to the power necessary to move everything without jumps, especially video games. It is also a large screen, 6.6 inches and the edges have been reduced: the screen makes up 90.8% of the front. Finally, the brightness control stands out, being the first Realme screen that can go down to 1 nit.

This will help improve the duration of the with 5,000 mAh, which according to Real will allow me to speak for 40 hours. The Realme 8i will be available from today on the official website and in stores such as Amazon, AliExpress, MediaMarkt and PcComponentes; its price will be 199 euros in its 4 GB + 64 GB version, and from 219 euros in its 4 GB + 128 GB version.

In addition, the Realme C11 2021 has also been presented, a low-end model that gives priority to the battery, 5,000 mAh with Ultra Saving mode, all accompanied by a 6.5-inch screen and an eight-core processor with 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage. The real strong point of this mobile will be the price, of only 109 euros although it can be obtained for 99 euros offer from October 21.
