NRW Minister Karl-Josef Laumann is a guest on Wednesday evening Markus Lanz – although he is actually not allowed to be there. The journalist Mariam Lau from the weekly newspaper “Die Zeit” unpacks that there is currently a kind of interview ban for the party leadership.

Markus Lanz (ZDF): Will THIS woman be the new CDU chairwoman? Laumann: “Doesn’t fit”
Apparently, the CDU leadership wants to curb the public discussion about the leadership crisis in the party. The media should concentrate more on the traffic light sounding. Laumann also sees that. A double rejection from Laumann for Karin Prien. On the one hand, he does not see any suitable women in his party for the top position at the moment, and on the other hand, he does not believe in a double leadership with which one could build up the Prien, which is still quite unknown in federal politics.
