Lucas Hernández and his prison order: "Have gone for him"

The situation of Lucas Hernandez it is of utmost concern and uncertainty after the prison order has been made public. The player remains in a delicate situation, his club, Bayern Munich, has not yet ruled, which is still waiting for the lawyers to exhaust the avenues for there to be a turn in the case and you have to wait for the consequences that may have at the sports and sponsorship level due to the damage to the image that he suffers as a professional of the football elite.

The lawyers themselves, consulted by El Confidencial, show their concern about the measures taken by the lawyer of the case. Lucas has to appear for the court summons and there is less time left to prevent him from going to jail. It is something that seems increasingly difficult, despite the fact that they demand that the statement of disqualification be addressed. It does not seem easy at all with the posture of a judge who considers that Lucas does not meet the requirements to consider him a primary offender, since he has a history of crime of family abuse.

This is the point of conflict between the player’s lawyers, who argue that he served the 2017 sentence and enough time has passed for you to have prescribed it. Even so, after being denounced again for failing to comply with the restraining order, they requested compensation with work for the community and the case was taken to the Provincial Court of Madrid. The lawyer does not attend to the resources. Nor is the fact that the couple have been married for four years and have a three-year-old son. “All this does not make sense”, they comment in the surroundings of Lucas Hernández.

An unfinished resource

When he had found personal balance, maturity and he had life on track as a proud family man, a figure with which he did not grow up, another obstacle appears that breaks stability. Lucas Hernández has to appear on October 19 in the Criminal Court number 32 of Madrid at the request of the judge Aurora Arrebola del Valle, fall a period of ten days to voluntarily enter a prison. The news is a slab for the Hernándezes. “They have come for him,” his lawyers confirm.

The judge considers that the footballer, who now plays for Bayern Munich, broke the restraining order, while the lawyers who defend Lucas reaffirm that the procedure is open. There is no final judgment, there is an appeal in the Provincial Court of Madrid and it cannot be terminated. “This case is being disfigured and it is an injustice”, the people close to Lucas express with indignation. It is the version of the professionals who defend the interests of the footballer. They do not understand why an order to enter prison is requested when the footballer had complied with the sentence handed down for gender violence in 2017, it is considered that enough time has passed for it to have expired, there is an appeal without a final sentence from the Hearing and has rebuilt his life with the same woman with whom he is reported for violating the restraining order.

The events date back to the night of February 3, 2017. Amelia was waiting for Lucas at the door of his house and when he arrived, according to the police report, an argument broke out that led to mutual assault. Amelia asked Lucas for his cell phone and wallet and hit him on the cheek and neck. The discussion got louder and scratched the car. A very expensive honeymoon. They were surprised at the Adolfo Suárez airport in Madrid together, thus breaking the restraining order imposed of less than 500 meters during the period of six months. These are the criminal records to which the judge refers and the remedies are not effective.

The suffering of the mother

A hard setback for Lucas Hernandez, who is in his prime (25 years) sporting after overcoming injuries and achieving success with Bayern Munich and the French National Team in recent years. It has cost his mother a lot of suffering, Laurence Py, raise their two children. His father, Jean Francois-Hernández -ex-footballer of Atlético de Madrid and Rayo Vallecano, among others- left them when Lucas (5 years) and Follow (4 years old) were two children. The debts led to the eviction of the house and the mother had to go live in a hotel room with her children and the financial help of her grandparents. Some complicated years in which the children played at Rayo Majadahonda, trained in Orcasitas and the mother did 30 kilometers so that they did not lose any of those training sessions. Atleti noticed Theo and signed him for the quarry. But not Lucas, who later managed to enter.

So until reaching the first team, with the confidence of Simeone. Lucas would become one of the most expensive transfers in Atleti’s history. Bayern paid 80 million euros in 2019 for a player who had been world champion with Fancia and who won the Champions League with the German team.
