The Lebanese Red Cross has reported that at least six people died in the area and more than 30 were injured, where, after the sniper attack, heavy armed clashes have broken out, without the affiliation of the women being clear at the moment. people involved in them.

The Shiite formations Amal and Hezbollah had already denounced a shootout against their supporters when they were on their way to take part in a protest in front of the Palace of Justice, not far from Tayoune, to demand the dismissal of the judge in charge of the explosion that occurred in August. 2020 in Beirut.

The Shiite parties had called the demonstration to call for the dismissal of Magistrate Tarek Bitar, who is investigating the explosion that more than a year ago caused more than 200 deaths and 6,500 injured in the Lebanese capital and in which several former Amal officials are suspected of negligence.
