The center forward of the Argentine national team, Lautaro Martínez affirmed that with his teammates they always leave “everything for the shirt and to support the coach”, Lionel Scaloni, after tonight’s success against Peru 1-0, at the Monumental, for the 12th date of the South American Qualifiers for the Qatar Soccer World Cup 2022.
“When we went to the field we left everything for the Argentine jersey and to give support to the coach,” said the author of the goal of the national victory in statements for the broadcast of TyC Sports.
“We feel comfortable with how things are going and that is why we will give everything to be in the next World Cup in Qatar,” added the former Racing striker.
The ‘Toro’, among other considerations, estimated that this time they could not show off as against Uruguay, last date (3-0), “because Peru closed the spaces well and cost the dominance of the game.”
“On the other hand, against Uruguay there were more spaces because they did not mark us too much and that is why a more fluid game could be played and the team showed off more,” acknowledged the Inter attacker, from Italy.
“And as in the match with Uruguay, I converted again to dedicate it to my family, who also came to the stadium tonight to accompany me, and that is why I was excited again,” Lautaro Martínez stressed at the end.
