Vincent Kriechmayr is crowned “Sportsman of the Year” for the first time!
The downhill and super-G world champion from Cortina d’Ampezzo will be honored at the LOTTERIEN Sporthilfe-Gala for his exceptional achievements in 2021.
The Upper Austrian prevails with 837 points (83 mentions in 1st place) ahead of the two Olympic medal winners Lukas Weißhaidinger (athletics / discus) and Jakob Schubert (climbing), 629 (47 1st place) and 412 (22nd place) 1) points
The comeback of the alpine ski camp is associated with Kriechmayr’s victory. In the previous year, for the first time since 2009, the skiers of the ÖSV could not win any of the categories of athlete of the year.
Overall, however, the ski camp of the ÖSV is dominant – the categories Sportswoman of the Year put together, there have already been 67 victories for the alpine department of the ÖSV (36 women, 31 men).
