Dancing with the stars at Disney Week was far from a magical moment for Kenya Moore. As the Real Housewives of Atlanta star and her professional dance partner Brandon Armstrong entered the ballroom for another week of dancing, Moore revealed she had to dance despite a painful injury when an elevator ached. turned convinced her that she had “broken her ribs.”
Moore injured herself on Monday night’s Disney Heroes party as she and Armstrong performed a contemporary dance to Moana’s “How Far I’ll Go.” Opening up to the spooky storyline in a post-show press after the two-night-of-week Disney event, according to Us Weekly, Moore revealed that she “didn’t feel right” during her performance on Monday night, which left her in “excruciating pain.” She went on to reveal that she had injured herself “jumping on” Armstrong for a lift and “just landed badly.” I landed on my two lower ribs and thought I had broken them. Moore added that although she was still “in the air” she was “sure I broke my ribs.” I just went [gasp] and I couldn’t breathe. Although she initially thought she could get rid of it, Moore eventually had to see a doctor.
“Later I was like, ‘Brandon, I need to go to emergency care and have an x-ray. I think I broke my ribs, ”she recalls. “So the doctor came today, and I’m fine. He said it was just going to take a while. And yes, the show is very useful [with] just to make sure I was okay. But I am in a lot of pain. “
Still suffering from her injury, Moore returned to the ballroom on Tuesday for the second night of Disney Week, with her and Armstrong performing a Viennese waltz to Ariana Grande’s “Dangerous Woman,” a tribute to Snow White and the Seven. Moore revealed she “danced through” her injuries, including rib and knee injuries, for the performance, which ultimately landed the duo in the final two alongside Matt James and Lindsay Arnold.
