TBILISI, October 14 – Sputnik. Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili on Thursday began an official visit to Switzerland, according to the press service of the head of the Georgian state. In Switzerland Zurabishvili left Austria, where she held a number of high-level meetings. Georgia and Switzerland established diplomatic relationship in June 1992. Since then, the countries have cooperated in the fields of tourism and agriculture, and since May 2018, the countries have entered into a free trade agreement. The foreign trade turnover between Georgia and Switzerland in 2020 amounted to $ 168.7 million, including exports from Georgia – 106.8 million, imports to Georgia – 61.9 million.
