Steyr – Thursday, October 14th, 2021, 6:46 p.m.
SK Vorwärts Steyr announces the commitment of German midfielder Michael Martin.
The 21-year-old signs a contract with the bottom of the 2nd division until the end of this season, including the option for another season. Most recently, Martin worked for FC Bayern Alzenau in the fifth German league. Before that, the midfielder went through the youth departments of 1. FC Heidenheim and VfL Bochum.
Martin is characterized by good technique, a high level of game intelligence and a move forward. “This is precisely why we expect more goal danger because we can better prepare our game for the last line. He was able to convince us of that in training and in the friendly against Ried,” said sporting director Jürgen Tröscher in a club broadcast.
“He already showed in the first few units that he quickly internalized the style of play that we want to bring to the field and that his strengths come into play. This made him a dream player for Daniel Madlener and the coaching team. But that doesn’t play that The main role is more offensive, but rather his speed, understanding of the game and his technical skills for our vertical game, “continued Tröscher.
