The 49-year-old woman who had been missing since Wednesday night in Sabrosa was found this afternoon by a team of firefighters, a source from the Municipal Civil Protection told the Lusa news agency.
The source said that the woman was found in agricultural land in the vicinity of the village of Sabrosa and that she was transported for observation at the Vila Real unit of the Hospital Center of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro, appearing to be physically well.
The searches began at 21:00 on Wednesday, after warning of family members and, during this Thursday, they walked in the military search operations of the GNR, firefighters from the Sabrosa and Provesende corporations, a Civil Protection element and even volunteers.
The Cruz Branca corporation in Vila Real provided an infrared drone to support the searches.
According to a source from the GNR Territorial Command of Vila Real, the operation took place in the vicinity of the village of Sabrosa, where the woman lives.
