The band will play in Berlin and Frankfurt in 2022
Coldplay has announced the dates of their “Music Of The Spheres” world tour. The British will perform four times in Germany.
Coldplay around singer Chris Martin (44) will go on a major world tour in 2022. The band announced this in an Instagram post and on their website. The British musicians will also give four concerts in Germany.
The band will play in Frankfurt am Main on July 2nd and 3rd, 2022. On July 10th and 12th, 2022, they will also perform in the Berlin Olympic Stadium. General advance booking starts on Friday, October 22nd at 10 a.m. For the tour, which will also take them to France, Belgium, Poland, the USA and Mexico, the band has committed itself to environmental friendliness.
Established sustainability plan
Coldplay had already announced in 2019 that it would make its tours as environmentally friendly as possible. “Playing live and connecting with people is ultimately why we exist as a band. […] At the same time, we are very aware that the planet is facing a climate crisis, “explains the band in their current tour announcement. That is why they have consulted environmental experts over the past two years in order to” primarily exploit the potential of the tour, to move things forward. We’re not going to do everything right, but we’re determined to do what we can and share what we learn. “
To this end, a whole series of measures have been compiled in a sustainability plan. For every ticket sold on the tour, a tree will be planted and every show should be made with 100 percent renewable energy. According to the planning, the first mobile, rechargeable show battery will be used for this purpose. The concerts should also cause 50 percent fewer emissions than the 2016/17 tour. Other measures include offering free drinking water at every concert.
On Friday (October 15th) the new Coldplay album “Music Of The Spheres” will be released. With “My Universe” and “Higher Power” the band has already released two singles.
