Arrested for cheating with the sale of purebred dogs after a complaint in the Canary Islands

The National Police arrested two women for allegedly defrauding the sale of hunting dogs from Girona, as explained this Thursday in a statement.

The operation began during the month of September, when the victim observed an advertisement for a Doberman breed dog for 450 euros and contacted the alleged scammers from Las Palmas de Gran Canaria by WhatsApp and made a bank transfer.

When he did not receive the animal and tried to contact the alleged vendors again “repeatedly without obtaining a response,” he decided to report the incident, and National Police agents located the alleged perpetrators in Girona.

During the investigation, the agents found out that one of the alleged authors provided the other with their online banking access codes so that the two could operate from the same account and “thus not link the ad on the website with the holder of the bank account where the money was deposited ”.

One of the alleged perpetrators was located in Mataró (Barcelona), although both were arrested in Girona.
