The Department of Economy, Planning and Employment of the Government of Aragon has launched a new line of subsidies aimed at autonomous Aragonese workers who, after an economic failure, want to redirect their activity or undertake a new initiative.
For this, through the General Directorate of Labor, Self-Employed and Social Economy, it has called for grants that will allow financing both technical assistance to verify the viability of the applicant’s project or the most appropriate reconversion of its activity, as well as the study of its insolvency and the formalization of the necessary documentation for the extrajudicial mediation that allows it to be released from outstanding debts through agreements.
The Official Gazette of Aragon (BOA) has published this Thursday the call for these subsidies, which have been the central issue discussed at the last meeting of the Aragons Council of Autonomous Work, held at the main headquarters of the Aragons Employment Institute (INAEM), in Zaragoza with the participation of representatives of the Government of Aragon, the four social agents -CEOE, CEPYME, UGT and CCOO- and the main professional associations of self-employed workers in our Community -UPTA and ATA-.
The regional Executive has indicated in a press release that the subsidies from this Special Fund for the Second Chance will be granted through the simplified procedure of competitive participation until the budget, set at 82,000 euros, is exhausted. The amount of each aid will be equal to 80% of the eligible cost, with a maximum limit of 2,500 euros. The deadline for submitting applications will be ten business days from this Friday.
Second chance mechanisms are intended to allow a natural person, despite a business or personal economic failure, to have the possibility of redirecting his life again and even undertaking new initiatives, without having to drag indefinitely a debt that he cannot satisfy. , have pointed out the aforementioned sources.
In addition to offering a new opportunity to their beneficiaries, these mechanisms have a disincentive effect on the underground economy and favor a business culture that benefits employment, the Government added.
The purpose is to allow those who have lost everything by having liquidated all of their assets for the benefit of their creditors can be freed from most of the outstanding debts, after out-of-court payment agreements and bankruptcy mediation. In order to avoid strategic insolvencies or to facilitate selective payments, controls and guarantees are established.
