The United States demanded that Russia remove missiles from Europe that violate the INF Treaty

Jeffrey Eberhardt, the US President’s special envoy for nuclear non-proliferation, demanded that Russia remove from Europe the missiles allegedly deployed there in violation of the Treaty on the Elimination of Intermediate-Range and Shorter-Range Missiles (INF Treaty). His words are quoted by RIA Novosti.

Thus, he answered the question of how the administration of American leader Joe Biden evaluates the initiative of President Vladimir Putin to introduce moratoriums on the deployment of such weapons in Europe.

“Russia has already violated the INF Treaty by deploying missiles. So the solution is for them to remove these missiles, ”Eberhardt emphasized.

Previously acting Konstantin Vorontsov, Deputy Director of the Department for Nonproliferation and Arms Control of the Russian Foreign Ministry, said that Moscow is calling on NATO countries to introduce a moratorium on the deployment of intermediate and shorter-range missiles (INF).
