The cumulative incidence drops another 4.6 points and stands at 41.45

The Ministry of Health has published this Wednesday the update of the figures for infections, hospitalizations and deaths from coronavirus in Spain and, with respect to Monday’s report (yesterday there was no update due to being a holiday), the total number of people infected by COVID-19 It has increased by 2,758, so that the national total of infected already rises to 4,980,206 people since the start of the pandemic.

In addition, Health has reported 42 new deaths from the SARS-CoV-2 infection compared to Monday’s data, which brings the official death toll since the beginning of the pandemic to 86,869.

Regarding the cumulative incidence nationwide in 14 days, the figure has dropped another 4.63 points during the last two days to stand at 41.45 cases per 100,000 inhabitants. In this way, Spain remains at low risk for coronavirus.

With 1,908 people admitted (34 less than on Monday), the hospital occupancy fell slightly this Monday to 1.57% while the occupancy in the ICU, where 486 patients remain (21 less than on Monday), stands at 5 , 33%.

Almost 90% have received at least one dose

The Ministry of Health has also reported that Spain has administered 36,745 vaccines since Monday, bringing the total number of doses administered to 70,859,558.

The number of people who have received at least one dose rises to 37,830,132 people, representing 79.7% of the population (89.8% of the target population). In addition, the number of people who have received the complete vaccination schedule reaches 36,961,165, that is, 77.9% of the population (87.8% of the target population).
