A 17-year-old student was killed today by a stab in the chest when he was leaving his home in the Buenos Aires town of Ezpeleta, Quilmes party, and it is being investigated whether he was attacked to rob him, police and judicial sources reported today.
The episode occurred this morning around 7:50 when the student, identified as Lucas Iván Cancino (17), left his house located on Combate Naval de Quilmes street, between Lugones and Ascasubi, in that district of the southern suburbs.
The sources specified that the teenager was about to leave for the school when he was attacked by a man who stabbed him with the alleged purpose of stealing his belongings, including his bicycle. According to the first data obtained at the crime scene, the student suffered a fatal wound to the thorax.
Prosecutor Karina Gallo, in charge of the Functional Instruction Unit (UFI) 4 of Quilmes, was on her way to the scene of the incident, a judicial spokesperson reported.
The investigator assured Télam that the victim’s body remained in front of his home awaiting the arrival of the Scientific Police to carry out the corresponding tests.
The incident was classified as “homicide on the occasion of robbery” and the police are looking intensely for the attacker, the sources added.
