Fabricio Cabañas has been at Jáchal Básquetbol Club for several seasons and became a fundamental piece, but he does not know the category in which the Expreso del Norte will play from next Friday. And Matías Aristu recently joined the jachallero team but he does know what it is to play the Argentine League and also the National League. Both now have a common goal: to bring the cast directed by Lisandro Salles to the highest possible level.
After the presentation of the squad at Government House, both expressed their feelings for the next season. Fabricio Cabañas said that “this season will have a lot of wear and tear, with many trips and many games in the week. That is why we have to become very strong at home and try to put in a away game ”.
Regarding the debut against Salta Básket, the pivot wing said that “we could see something of the collective aspect and it will surely be a fought match, but we will try to leave a good image in the presentation and aspire to the playoffs as our first objective” .
In addition, when asked about the reinforcements that arrived, Cabañas said that “a month ago we were a different team, but the boys who arrived adapted well and we know that they come to do their best.”
Precisely one of those reinforcements is Matías Aristu, a 26-year-old forward who arrived in the northern department from Rosario, Santa Fe, and has in his resume with steps for Libertad de Sunchales in National League, Institute, San Isidro, Communications, Boca, Platense , Unión de Santa Fe and Racing de Chivilcoy.
“I found the project that was put together very interesting and I was looking for a team that aspires to do things well, where it has continuity,” said Aristu, adding that “I was also very seduced by the idea of Lisandro Salles (the coach). He told me what the context was like and it seemed good to accompany me from my place ”.
Regarding his aspirations, the forward pointed out that “they are always the highest, but that is built little by little. We have a good team and human group and we had a good preseason ”.
Finally, the Rosario described his new place: Jáchal. “It is a city that I did not know. It is small but it has its charm and the people are very good. They received me well and there is still much to know ”.
