Austrian Social Democratic MP Eva-Maria Holzleitner fainted at a meeting of the Austrian National Council, writes the Kronen Zeitung.
The incident took place at an extraordinary meeting of the lower house of parliament. Holzleitner, during her speech at the podium, felt weak and fainted, the session had to be interrupted. The deputy was promptly assisted, and after a couple of minutes she returned to participate in the meeting.
Holzleitner later expressed gratitude to her colleagues who came to her aid, and also noted the many wishes for recovery that she received. The deputy also wrote in Twitterthat feels good.
Earlier, Dutch Health Minister Bruno Brain fainted while discussing the coronavirus. The politician quickly came to his senses, drank water and left the conference room. Brain later stated that he passed out due to overwork after difficult weeks.
