Montero explains why he has plugged in a convicted woman and two defendants: "They are being persecuted by the Justice"

The Minister of Equality, Irene Montero, defended this Wednesday the hiring finger to the one convicted of assaulting a policewoman Isa Serra and those accused of embezzlement Celia Mayer and Carlos Sánchez-Mato to the department he directs, whom he has described as “persecuted.”

La podemita has affirmed in statements to the press before participating in an act of homage to rural women in the Valladolid municipality of San Pelayo that she will always be by the side “of those who defend democracy although are persecuted in the media, politically or judicially».

In this way, Montero has shown his contempt for the decisions of the Justice which he has accused of “persecuting” his new signings, which will charge an annual amount of 267.000 euros, including the salary of the new Secretary of State for Equality, Ángela Rodríguez. The minister thanked all of them “for exposing themselves to doing political work, in defense of democracy and public service.”

Likewise, Irene Montero has highlighted her extensive experience of “political, municipal and feminist management, in the key of a broad and confederal front”, but not her problems with Justice.

While Serra is firmly condemned by the Supreme Court for attacking the Police during an eviction, in which he gave a string of sexist insults to a policewoman, Sánchez-Mato and Mayer are awaiting the opening of an oral trial for known as Tennis Masters case, in which they are charged with the alleged crimes of prevarication and embezzlement.

This case investigates recruitment finger of an audit of a related company against the criteria of the City Council’s own legal services. In 2017, 50,000 euros were paid for an audit to the law firm close to the ideology of Now Madrid and later another 50,000 for “annexes.” That is, 100,000 public euros that avoided the legal limit so as not to have the obligation to open a public tender to bidders who wish to present themselves.

In addition, Montero also signed Angela Rodríguez a few days ago, alias Pam, as Secretary of State for Equality after the surprise departure of Noelia Vera for personal reasons. Pam will thus be a senior position in the Ministry of Equality with a salary of 101,955 euros per year despite being denounced in 2016 for having called “Lame whore” to a colleague of hers from Podemos with mobility problems.

For his part, the national spokesman of the PP and mayor of Madrid, José Luis Martínez-Almeida, has censored these hires that he has opined suppose a «degradation of institutions » promoted from the Government of the nation. In addition, Almeida has criticized the meteoric salaries that these new signings will have, which he has described as “absolutely inefficient.”

In that sense, it should be remembered that Pam will receive € 101,955 per year, Celia Mayer € 60,881 and Carlos Sánchez Mato and Isa Serra € 51,946.
