“Qué Xopá, Welcome to Panama Taron & Jack”, were the first words of Hollywood actor Taron Egerton upon arrival in our country, this for the filming of the film The Stars at the Noon.

For those who did not know, the Ministry of Commerce and Industries, announced a few months ago about the filming of the film The Stars at Noon (The stars at noon), by the well-known French director and screenwriter Claire Denis.
The director had mentioned that in October she would begin filming the film in Panamanian locations, which was highlighted by international media.

In ‘Stars at Noon’, the director will adapt ‘The Stars at Noon’, the 1986 novel by Denis Johnson in which an American woman portrays the Nicaraguan revolution of the mid-eighties.

In the same way, the female role in the story will be for Margaret Qualley, who has acted in the stories ‘Two good guys’ (Shane Black, 2016), ‘Once upon a time in … Hollywood’ (Quentin Tarantino, 2019 ) and the recent ‘Dreams of a writer in New York’ (Philippe Falardeau, 2020).
At the moment the locations chosen to record the film have not been detailed, however as it is a story that ranges from drama, romance and some action, it is expected to be filmed in the city.
