On Saturday 09 October 2021, the 2nd ordinary congress of women and young people of the YELEMA party “the change” was held at the Bamako International Conference Center (CICB) with the main objective of winning more in the next elections in 2022.
The opportunity for the women and young people of the party to discuss the elections of 2022 in order to mobilize the women and young people of Mali around the YELEMA party ”, the party of real change and democratic change in the Republic of Mali.
The opening of the proceedings of this 2nd ordinary party congress was chaired by the national president of the party, Dr Youssouf Diawara. She recorded the presence of Moussa Mara, former president and honorary president of the party, Ms. KorotoumouBallo, national president of party women, Diakaridia Diakité, president of the party’s Youth Executive Committee, Ms. Doumbia Adam Sangaré and Issa Dabo, co -Presidents of the Organizing Committee for Women’s and Youth Congresses; members of the Central Executive Committee (CEC) of the party with delegations from all regions of Mali including that of Koulikoro was led by Ousmane Bakary Coulibaly said OBC, 2nd vice-president of the CEC of Yelema, the heavyweight of the party in the Meguetan region.
Note also the presence of representatives of friendly parties at this political meeting in Yelema. It must also be said that the 1000-seat room of the CICB was packed to the brim, hence a show of force by the women and young people of the Yelema party.
The regional coordinator of Koulikoro, Ousmane Bakary Coulibaly congratulated the two offices for the quality of the organization and the strong mobilization of activists. “This show of force is sufficient proof that our political formation has a future,” he said.
The president of the women of the Yelema party, Korotoumou Ballo will have recalled and affirmed that from the first congress held in April 2018 to today, the Central Executive Committee of Women has evolved. With only a few Cells when it was created, distributed among the regions and Communes of the District of Bamako, it now has more than a hundred Cells. She also said she was very optimistic about achieving the party’s goals. “In 11 years of existence, the Yelema Party continues its ascent and is only a stone’s throw from the achievement of one of its major objectives, namely the Presidency of the Republic of Mali », She wished. Mrs. Korotoumou Ballo thus greeted and thanked the Central Executive Committee of Yelema headed by Dector Youssouf Diawara, for its commitment to the organization of this congress while addressing a special mention to its president who was of invaluable help thanks to his advice, availability and encouragement; as well as to Doctor Abdoulaye Konaré, 3rd vice-president of the CEC and vice-president in charge of the Youth and Women’s offices, who spared neither his time nor his energy to accompany them and; the brave ladies of Yelema for their commitment, their determination, their availability, their loyalty and their cohesion in the good organization of this congress. And without forgetting Doctor Ousmane Bakary Coulibaly 2nd Vice-president of the CEC who graciously placed his premises at their disposal for two months for the organization of the congress.
As for the youth president, Diakaridia Diakité, he reaffirmed the awareness of the youth of the party who, according to him, are aware of the issues of the era and the challenges facing the Malian youth, namely, the precariousness of young people, unemployment chronic, illegal immigration, outdated training offer. Before specifying that Yelema is the solution to the ills of current Mali. This is why he took the opportunity to appeal to the Malian youth to join the party train, the political formation of real change for a standing and booming Mali.
The national president of the Yelema party, in turn, congratulated the members of the organizing committee, for the perfect mastery of the process that led to the organization of these meetings and all the congressmen for their massive mobilization to the party call.
For the party’s success in the upcoming elections, President Diawara urged activists to strengthen their citizenship and develop their skills. He finally urged them never to come back to invectives and to remain in the fundamentals of the party. What is to contribute to the awakening of conscience and to mobilize all the fellow citizens for the only fight which is worth, that of peace, cohesion and development.
