Within the framework of a new meeting of the Salary Council for Private House Workers held at the headquarters of the Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Security of the Nation, a new increase was agreed for private house workers that will be 6 % in November and add 2% to the 5% previously established for December.
In this way, in the accumulated annual parity (June 2021 to May 2022), the increase reaches 50%. Likewise, a new review was agreed for March 2022.
The increases apply to different services in private homes, including domestic workers, landlords, and people who assist and care for third parties, among others.
It should be remembered that this year a total increase of 42% had been set in four sections, between June 2021 and May 2022. The increase agreed in the middle of the year established a 42% increase that began on June 1, 2021 with a rose 13% and continued with 12% since September 1, 2021.
Meanwhile, a third tranche of 5% was planned from December 1, 2021, with an impact on the average Christmas bonus in December. And a fourth tranche of 12% from March 1, 2022. However, with the new agreement, 6% is added in November and 2% is added to the 5% previously established for December. So in the annual accumulated the rise reaches 50 percent.
Likewise, in June a percentage increase was set for “unfavorable area”, equivalent to 30% of the minimum wages established for each of the categories with respect to personnel who provide tasks in the provinces of La Pampa, Río Negro, Chubut, Neuquén, Santa Cruz, Tierra del Fuego, Antarctica and the South Atlantic Islands, or in the Patagones District of the Province of Buenos Aires.
For the first time, an additional salary was also established for “Seniority”, equivalent to 1% for each year of seniority of the worker in her employment relationship, on the monthly salaries. This additional is paid monthly from September 1, 2021. The service time for the purposes of this seniority additional began to be computed as of September 1, 2020, without retroactive effect.

Category 4: Assistance and care of people. It includes the assistance and non-therapeutic care of people, such as: sick people, with disabilities, children, adolescents, older adults.

Category 5: Personnel for general tasks. Provision of cleaning, washing, ironing, maintenance, preparation and cooking of meals and, in general, all other typical household tasks.
