October 20 is the deadline for making announcements because from that day on there will be 25 left for the legislative elections to take place, so public events and, therefore, any type of official propaganda will be prohibited. In this framework, the national government seeks to score points to try to reverse the bad result it reaped in the passes, and the strategy from the beginning was to launch a battery of measures and benefits, especially to try to counteract the scandals that were emerging as the festival of Olivos, the rumors of an internal breakdown between albertistas and cristinistas, and the one unleashed by the new Minister of Security Aníbal Fernández who was denounced by the cartoonist Nik for “threats”.
That is why the Alberto Fernández administration is ready to continue making announcements to “put money in people’s pockets” and among those that are still expected is the five-year housing plan. It would take place in a ceremony next Sunday and it involves the construction of half a million homes. The event would be part of the Peronist celebration on October 17.
More agreements with companies and unions are also expected with the aim of transforming social plans into genuine work. It is a model similar to the one agreed by Uocra and the Argentine Chamber of Construction (CAC) with the ministers of Labor, Claudio Moroni, and Social Development, Juan Zabaleta.
On the other hand, it was reported that there will be openings, such as train stations and ports, although which ones were not specified. But there will also be time to publicize the future start-up of works that will be carried out with international credits.
While the announcements are awaited, tomorrow an important one will take place: the inauguration of a section of the Presidente Perón highway, which the President could lead. While the Minister of Transport, Alexis Guerrera, will be in Entre Ríos tomorrow to inaugurate works of the port of Concepción together with the Peronist governor Gustavo Bordet. It was also learned that Transporte will show the renovation of railway infrastructure on the Roca line, together with local candidates, and Ferraresi will be in Buenos Aires tomorrow with candidate Leandro Santoro at the inauguration of houses adjacent to the Sáenz and Buenos Aires stations.
