Man dies when trying to gain passage to the train, on the road to Gral. Cepeda

Trying to win the way of the train that was going along the tracks that connect the state highway to Palma Gorda, ended the life of a man and the driver was pressed.

This happened around 9:30 p.m. yesterday at kilometer 4 of the General Cepeda highway, near the Los Temporales ejido.

The victim was identified as Édgar Everardo Ramos Castañuela, who was 34 years old.

While the survivor, Mauricio Jesús Hernández Ramos, 21, was pressed into the Chevrolet Silverado double cab pickup with EX9724-A plates.

The pickup was speeding from west to east on the road to General Cepeda, also known as the old road to Palma Gorda.

According to reports from neighbors, the driver tried to gain the way to the train that was moving from south to north.

Although he honked the driver of the truck, he did not care about the life of his companion.

He continued on his way and was hit hard by the rear right side of the box.

The intense blow that the truck received made it turn dramatically until it was thrown at a distance of more than 15 meters.

The truck was inside a stream, while the body of Édgar Everardo ended up at 20 meters.

The situation was reported to the 911 emergency system, which mobilized a total of four Red Cross ambulances, firefighters and even an urban rescue machine.

They only transferred Jesús Hernández to the General Hospital where they report him as stable.

The paramedics were given the task of covering the body with a sheet while Municipal Transit cordoned off the place.

During the first hours of this Monday, the corpse was lifted and transferred to the facilities of the forensic medical service.

After the accident, residents of the ejidos were stranded in the place, waiting for an access route to be opened to cross the railroad tracks to reach their destinations.

Minutes later, Municipal Traffic officers gave the people who were at both ends of the road a single lane, who observed the accident.
