Fury KOd Wilder to retain heavyweight title

Tyson Fury’s father John Fury has said his son should only look to fight Oleksandr Usyk after taking out Deontay Wilder, not Anthony Joshua or Dillian Whyte.

The “Gypsy King” and “Bronze Bomber” produced a legendary fight for the ages as they were both knocked down twice before Fury won by KO in round 11.

What comes next for the “Gypsy King” is still unknown.

The WBC has ruled he will have 30 days to agree to an undisputed unification fight with Anthony Joshua conqueror Oleksandr Usyk.

If that can’t be done – as expected as AJ triggered his clause for a rematch with Usyk – then Fury will be doomed to defend against Dillian Whyte’s winner against Otto Wallin on October 30.

“He’s got to go get Usyk or nothing, in my opinion,” John told White and Jordan on talkSPORT.

“It’s Usyk next, or nothing.

“I wouldn’t bother with the others, they’re not in Tyson’s class.

“Would Dillian Whyte deal with Deontay Wilder?”

” No. So why would they want to put him with my son and knock him out?

“Tyson can’t stand up for this kind of fight. For me, I told him, Usyk or don’t worry.

Prior to the trilogy fight, there was a lot of bitterness between the fighters as Wilder believed Fury cheated the last time they met.

Despite this, the Fury approached him to show him respect after the knockout. Wilder rejected his attempt at sportsmanship.

“His behavior, Wilder, before and after – it would make anyone’s blood boil, wouldn’t it?” Jean continued.

“As a man like me, if you’re beaten by a better man, you say, ‘Put our differences aside, well done.’

“For my money, he tarnished his performance, Wilder.

“It was a great performance, without knocking him out, he fought with all his heart, he fought like a warrior.

“But his behavior at the end completely let him down.

“You don’t behave like that. They just fight, fight, you would think they would show a little consideration for each other.

“My son did it because that’s how I raised him.

“But obviously in Wilder’s case – I don’t know what this man is made of to be honest with you.”

“He’s obviously a whole different fabric. “

Fury Sr concluded by reluctantly giving his thoughts on BT specialist David Haye, who again picked Wilder to beat Fury and turned out to be wrong.

“I’m not even going to talk about it, this man is an idiot.

“I don’t know why BT sent him there, he’s just an enemy.

“He’s an enemy, he has nothing good to say, he’s not a good expert, he’s got it all wrong and it’s all about David Haye.

“I’m not criticizing his exploits, he did a brilliant job as world champion, but he needs to grow and build a personality.

“I have no respect for this man, none. “
