An information platform examined the 20 largest cities in Germany. Here you can find out which city is in NRW worst in the ranking that has the dog in the foreground, has cut off.

The ranking includes the following crucial aspects for the well-being of dogs in major German cities:
- Number of dog owners
- Number of dogs in the shelter
- Veterinarians and pet shops
- Dog-friendly restaurants and hotels
- Dog tax amount
- Inner-city systems for dogs
- Fines for illegally left behind by dogs
Dresden therefore wins the ranking with 121 points. The cities of Leipzig, Düsseldorf and Hamburg occupy places two to four. The four-legged friends can apparently feel most at home here, but in a city it looks very different.
Dog – these are the most popular breeds in Germany:
- 1st place: Labrador Retriever
- Platz 2: Golden Retriever
- 3rd place: German Shepherd
- 4th place: Jack Russel Terrier
- 5th place: Yorkshire Terrier
Cologne is relegated to last place with 73 points. The big city can only score with its number of dog meadows, but animal-friendly restaurants and hotels are very difficult to find.
