When a bus fell into a river in China, two passengers were killed, another 12 were missing
The accident occurred on Monday morning at around 07:00 (03:00 tbc) in Pingshan County, when a local Jingye company bus carrying workers fell off a bridge into the Hutohe River.
By this time, rescuers managed to pull 39 people out of the water, among them two were killed. Another 12 people are reported missing.
At the time of the accident, there were 51 people on the bus, the capacity of the vehicle was 55 people.
The authorities promptly organized a rescue operation, however, victims could not be avoided, in anticipation of rescue, people climbed onto the roof of the bus.
The search and rescue operation continues.
The cause of the accident has not yet been established. The bus driver was detained.
