With the traditional parade of the communities, the 44th Immigrant Festival closed

With an important audience, this afternoon, the Traditional Parade of the Collectivities was held on Montevideo Avenue, an activity that formally closed the 44th Provincial Immigrant Festival.

Already on Saturday the activity programmed by the Association of Foreign Entities (AEE), in charge of the organization of the traditional celebration included the “Festival of Collectivities”, in which dance groups from Italy, Paraguay, Lithuania, Albania and Arab countries, it was reported.

Representations from Mexico, Bulgaria, Portugal, Greece, Armenia, Ireland, Yugoslavia and Poland also participated in this meeting.

After this last chapter, the now classic “Closing Parade, on Montevideo Avenue, was held today.

Throughout the day, it was possible to enjoy the Gastronomic Patio and the presentation of the dance ensembles.

After the 2020 experience in virtual format, the current edition once again included face-to-face with health protocols and virtuality, through social networks.

In this way, the festivals and the election of the Provincial Immigrant Ambassador could be followed, which this year was left with an unpublished format.

WHO WERE PRESENT

The protocol program was headed by the mayor Fabián Cagliardi, together with his counterpart from Ensenada Mario Secco, the former president of the National Council for the Coordination of Social Policies Victoria Tolosa Paz, the undersecretary of Land, Housing and Habitat, Gabriel Marotte, the coordinator of Pope Francisco Paola Ovejero and the president of the Association of Foreign Entities (AEE), Carlos Arias.

To begin, the artists Matías Alba and Gabriela Bulich sang the verses of the Argentine National Anthem in the company of the Naval School Band led by the Chief Warrant Officer Marcelo Adan; and later the Hymn of the City of Berisso was sung. Likewise, Professor Carlos Penesi, and the members of the Sign Language Workshop “My hands speak like this”, accompanied the interpretation.

Regarding the closing of this celebration, Carlos Arias, president of PREPA, thanked those present for accompanying them throughout the entire Fiesta: “It is a celebration that we live with great strength and love. It was a very special year for all of us, we are always accompanied by the neighbors and with the full support of the Municipality “.

“The communities, in conjunction with PREPA, are in charge of organizing this Festival and keeping alive the roots and traditions of the peoples,” said Arias, who added: “We live this parade with great emotion.”

For his part, the mayor of Berisso Fabián Cagliardi indicated: “We are closing this 44th Provincial Immigrant Festival in which we show our traditions, our flavors and it is a celebration that grows more and more every day.”

About the traditional Parade and the arrival of the pandemic, Cagliardi said: “We had been delayed by the pandemic, it seemed that this Parade could not be carried out, but thank God today we are all taken care of and we can all enjoy it together.”
