There are 282 thousand 86 deaths from COVID-19 in Mexico

Mexico City. In the last 24 hours, the Ministry of Health (Ssa) confirmed 2,690 new cases of Covid-19 in the country and 128 more deaths due to that disease.

With these data, the agency detailed this afternoon in its daily technical report, there are already 3 million 723 thousand 235 accumulated confirmed cases and 282 thousand 86 deaths since the start of the health crisis. In addition, 3 million 81 thousand 919 people have overcome the disease.

He pointed out that 74 percent of the population over 18 years of age has received at least one dose against Covid-19, and there are already 107 million 157 thousand 354 doses applied throughout the country.

The agency reported that there are 43 thousand 381 active cases, that is, people who started with symptoms of Covid-19 in 14 days and can transmit it, this represents that this epidemiological week opens with 30 percent fewer cases compared to the highest peak reported in 2021.

The demand for general beds fell one point to settle at 27 percent occupancy, while that of beds with a fan also fell one point to stand at 25 percent.

Mexico City, the state of Mexico, Nuevo León, Guanajuato and Jalisco are the five entities with the highest number of accumulated cases.

While Tabasco, Colima, Mexico City, Guanajuato and Yucatán, in that order, are the states with the highest number of active cases estimated per 100,000 inhabitants.

On Saturday 423 thousand 652 doses were applied, to reach 107 million 157 thousand 354 vaccines applied throughout the country since the national immunization strategy began in December last year.

With them 66 million 324 thousand 955 people have been vaccinated. Of these, 73 percent (48 million 510 thousand 493 people) have completed their vaccination scheme and 27 percent (17 million 814 thousand 462) have half a scheme.
