A lack of salt in the diet can lead to physical and health problems, she said. The physician noted that the product is necessary for the body, since it takes part in metabolic processes at the cell level. The minerals found in salt support the balance of electrolytes, which include sodium.
“Signs of a lack of salt in the body can be headache, dizziness, weakness, nausea, heart failure, unstable hemodynamics,” said the doctor.
However, she recalled the recommendation of the World Health Organization (WHO), which advises to consume sodium in the amount of no more than two grams per day for adults, which corresponds to five grams of table salt.

According to the scientist, such products will appear in the country in the next 15 years, their development is being carried out within the framework of the FoodNet market roadmap of the National Technological Initiative (NTI) with the participation of representatives of the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Health.
