The city hall of Rio de Janeiro set up a back-to-class model in more than 1,500 schools in the capital for the coming weeks. The model will divide the return into two stages: the first, which should include 4,000 children and adolescents, has the return of 1st, 2nd, 5th, 9th grade students and those who are part of the teaching acceleration project on the next 18th The second stage takes place on the 25th, with the return of students from the 3rd, 4th, 6th, 7th and 8th grades, in addition to the children who are in the day care center and in the EJA education system, which teaches young people and adults to read and write. Private schools were also instructed to resume classes 100% in person, but each one must follow the itinerary they want. The announcement of 100% face-to-face back to school is a sign of improvement in the indicators of the Covid-19 pandemic in the state and in the country with the advance of vaccination.
