About fifty residents of Gonnet gathered yesterday afternoon on the beach of the municipal delegation of that town, afflicted by the insecurity that, they denounced, has been punishing both fronts and local merchants.
As reported to this newspaper by some of the people who participated in the meeting, on the occasion they adopted different measures.
They resolved to collect signatures in the area to endorse a note that they will prepare with the claims of robbery prevention measures. And, simultaneously, they decided to mobilize next November 6 to the Thirteenth Police Station, where they plan to deliver said letter with the rubrics of the neighbors.
“THE SILENCE CALLS ATTENTION”
María Malcun is one of the neighbors who was at yesterday’s meeting at 495 and 15 bis, which began at 2.30 p.m. and lasted approximately two and a half hours.
As detailed, the common denominator among those who participated in the meeting was the outrage caused by “the lack of action” of the police chiefs, “despite the fact that with enough time we invited the DDI, the North District, the Gonnet police station and the his street boss ”, emphasized the woman.
He mentioned that the same displeasure caused among the neighbors “that the municipal delegate of Gonnet did not come either”, to whom the invitation had also been sent.
Neighbors will collect signatures and draw up a map of the crimes that occur in the area
All these absences prompted her to reflect that “the silence of the police and municipal authorities is striking.”
The anger over this situation motivated those who went to the meeting due to the insecurity yesterday to demonstrate in favor of deepening the way of expressing their discomfort over the robberies.
“We already decided first to gather signatures among the neighbors, to attach to a note containing the claims that we have to transfer to the Police,” explained Malcun, among those who mentioned “knowing about the grids arranged for Gonnet and that they tell us how they are going to stop the wave of insecurity that we endure ”.
He remarked that the note with the signatures of neighbors will be presented on November 6 at the Thirteenth Police Station.
Another neighbor, in turn, was surprised because “curiously, since we began to move due to robberies, in the last 10 days there were none”.
