Michael Jordan's first sneakers are auctioned: they can reach 1.5 million dollars

An auction house has launched a bid in which one of the most treasured jewels by the followers of Michael Jordan. This company puts on sale some sneakers that the mythical ’23’ of the Chicago Bulls used in his first season as a professional in the NBA and the final price is estimated to be around $ 1.5 million, a figure that a millionaire fan of the retired player will undoubtedly pay.

On October 24, in Las Vegas, this auction will take place carried out by the British house Sothebys, which hopes to reach the highest selling price of a shoe. Obviously, to get to those 1.5 million dollars that they have in mind, they have to be from a character who moves that money: Michael Jordan.

The shoes in question are the Air Jordan ships, the first ones he used Michael Jordan when he turned pro at the NBA. He put on these shoes on ’23’ on November 1, 1984, in his fifth game in the most prestigious league in the world, they are signed by him and, in addition, they are in white and red colors, the characteristic of the Chicago Bulls.

This auction house assures that they are the oldest shoes that exist of Michael Jordan and that is why they hope to get more than 1.5 million dollars in the bid. This is a true collector’s item by possibly the greatest player in basketball history.

These shoes were obtained by a ball boy from the Chicago Bulls and thanks to him they have lasted until today. With this bid, the auction house hopes they will become the most expensive athlete’s footwear in history.
