This Sunday, around 1:40 p.m., a subject identified as Franco Simón Guzmán (32) was apprehended after physically attacking his 21-year-old ex-partner, with whom he shares the paternity of a minor.
According to judicial sources, everything happened moments before, around 1:00 p.m., in a house located on Madre Teresa street in the Buenaventura Luna neighborhood, in Rawson, which is inhabited by a cousin of the victim. The 21-year-old girl was there when her Guzmán arrived very upset and insulted her and even threatened to kill her.
On three occasions, the subject broke into said house to utter his insults and threats on his ex and, not satisfied with it, when the young woman went out on the sidewalk she was physically attacked by Guzmán. He struck him twice with his fist on the head, on the nape of the neck and near the right ear.
These blows caused the young woman great pain and, between tears, she ran to her house located a few blocks away, being pursued by her attacker.
The young woman was able to take shelter at her home and from there request telephone assistance to 911 informed of what happened. That is how police personnel from Station 25 arrived a few minutes later. The uniformed men observed how a subject fled rapidly, but they still managed to be apprehended after a few meters.
Guzmán was detained at the disposal of the Flagrancia Prosecutor’s Unit accused of the crimes of minor injuries aggravated by the relationship and simple threats, in real competition and for being committed in the context of intrafamily and gender violence, staying at the headquarters of Police Station 25 a waiting for the completion of the presentation audience.
For his part, the victim was transferred to the CAVIG Fiscal Unit, where he filed the respective criminal complaint and received medical and psychological assistance. The victim’s own mother also attended the CAVIG Prosecutor’s Unit where she filed a criminal complaint against Guzmán for previous acts of violence suffered by her at the hands of her own ex-husband.
