The decision was made some time ago, and yet some people are now confused. Also some customers of dm frown in amazement.

From October 11th, the so-called “Citizen Tests” will be chargeable. So far, every citizen has been able to have these corona tests carried out in the many rapid test centers, as they are at many branches of dm had given.

But that’s over now. If you want to be tested now, you have to dig deep into your pocket. Individual tests will then probably cost between 20 and 30 euros. The state no longer wants to contribute to the costs. After all, everyone in Germany has long since received a vaccination offer.

This change also has an impact on dm. A customer of the drugstore wants to know on its Facebook page: “I just wanted to make an appointment at one of your test centers. But no matter where – there are no slots available to book. Are they all fully booked or are the test centers no longer with you? “

The answer from dm follows immediately: “As of 09/30/2021, operations in the dm rapid test centers will be discontinued and the booking options will no longer be available from October 01, 2021.”

dm: No more rapid test centers

From October there will only be a relatively few centers that offer tests. And if you want to use such tests, you have to finance them out of your own pocket. A quick test for state costs should no longer be possible with immediate effect. This procedure should also encourage one or the other person to vaccinate.

People who cannot be vaccinated against the coronavirus due to a medical contraindication, as well as children up to 17 years of age and pregnant women are exempt from this and can continue to be tested free of charge.
