Agustín Canapino had a double celebration this Sunday at the Rosario racetrack, as he won the Super TC2000 final and also jumped to the top of the championship.
He started the race with Moscardini at the top, escorted by Canapino, Pernía, Ardusso and Santero. Later, the Missile surpassed the Mendoza and was fourth. A twist later, the Flaco de las Parejas and Pernía defeated Canapino.
Moments later, the Titan used the Push to Pass and overpowered Ardusso. 28 minutes to closing, Pernía and Canapino left Moscardini behind to jump to first and second place respectively. Later, the Honda driver also did the same with the La Plata rider.
After several attempts, Canapino was able to pass Pernía and was the brand new leader of the race. Then, Ardusso also passed the Tanito and got second with the Honda. Santero was fourth and Moscardini closed the best five.
With 10 minutes to go, Santero overtook Pernía to place third with the Toyota. Moments later, the front left tire of the Ardusso Honda broke and the Las Parejas had to abandon.
At the end, Rossi defeated Pernía and advanced to third place. In short, it was a triumph for Canapino in the final of the Super TC2000 in Rosario. Santero, Rossi, Pernía escorted him and Fabián Yannantuoni completed the top five.
In the championship, Canapino is the brand new leader with 181 units, second is Pernía with 173 and third is Santero with 129. The next Super TC2000 date will be November 7 at the “Oscar Cabalén” in Alta Gracia.
