A penalty was stolen from Spain by the hand of Koundé

The Spanish team has no reason to be an English collegiate Anthony Taylor. The braid of the final of the League of Nations ate a penalty by clear hand of Koundé, who with his hand detached from the body intercepted a dangerous cross from Rodri. The Sevilla defender shamelessly went for the ball to such an extent that he looks at the ball before it hits him in the hand.

The VAR reviewed the play with all the images and considered that that hand –Which is usually whistled in Spain– did not deserve a maximum penalty. Koundé’s intentionality in the action is beyond doubt as he does not have a very natural position when intercepting the ball.

Luis Enrique and the entire Spanish bench protested the controversial action in the 31st minute, but finally the maximum penalty did not fall on the side of the rojigualda team. There are no arguments to be satisfied with UEFA.
