Los Mochis, Sinaloa.- A total of 53 people have been detained by agents of the Municipal Police from January 1 to September 30 of this year in Ahome as likely responsible for committing crimes.
The crime for which the most people have been arrested is drug dealing, with a total of 18 arrests, followed in second place by arrests for firearms, with 13 cases.
In third place are arrests for commercial robbery, with a total of 9 cases.
Director of Public Safety and Municipal Traffic in Ahome, Carlos Francisco Rodríguez Ponce, reported that with regard to vehicle theft, from January to September of this year 4 people have been arrested as likely responsible for committing this crime.
Two people and the same number of individuals have also been arrested for the crime of robbery from a home, also for the crime of robbery of educational institutions.
As far as arrest warrants are concerned, only one arrest has been presented in the municipality of Ahome, and one case has also been submitted for arrest warrants.
For driving in a vehicle with a report of theft, motorcycle theft, and driving a motorcycle with a report of theft, one person has been arrested in each of these crimes as probable perpetrators, which were brought before the competent authorities.
Arrests down this year
In the case of arrests for the crime of drug dealing, in the same period last year there were 80 cases, that is, 62 more arrests, and there were also 9 more arrests than this year for carrying a firearm, with 22 arrests.
Another crime in which there were more arrests last year from January to September was arrest warrants, where 25 cases were presented, that is, 24 more than in 2021.
The crime of vehicle theft this year there have been two more arrests, since in 2020 the figure was 2 arrests.
