Based on the autobiographical musical by playwright Jonathan Larson (Rent), Tick, Tick… Boom! is the second directorial approach of the Tony and Pulitzer Prize winner Lin-Manuel Miranda (Clayton’s Friends). ¡And the hand trailer and find out everything you need to know about the movie!

What is it about?

The movie, written by Steven Levenson (Dear Evan Hansen), follows the story of Jon (Andrew Garfield), an aspiring playwright who works as a waiter in New York while writing Pride, a project that he hopes will be his next great musical and his great opportunity to reach stardom. But his life is not easy, as Jon is pressured by his girlfriend Susan (Alexandra Shipp), tired of putting Jon’s career aspirations ahead of her own life. On the other hand, his best friend and roommate, Michael (Robin de Jesus), has given up his dreams for a high-paying job in advertising on Madison Avenue and is about to move out. Nearing his 30s, Jon is overwhelmed with anxiety, wondering if his dream will be worth it (via).

“On the eve of his 30th birthday, a promising young theater composer deals with love, friendship and the pressures of life as an artist in New York,” reveals the Netflix synopsis.

In addition to Andrew Garfield in the leading role, they also act Vanessa Hudgens, Bradley Whitford (Get Out); Alexandra Shipp (X-Men: Apocalipsis; X-Men: Dark Phoenix); Judith Light; Joshua Henry; Joanna Adler (The Blacklist); Noah Robbins y Robin de Jesus (The boys in the band), among others.
