They found a retiree dead in Quilmes

A 91-year-old retiree was found dead in his home in the Buenos Aires town of Ezpeleta, Quilmes district, and it is being investigated whether he was killed during an assault, police sources reported.

The body of the victim, identified as Vito Manzonil (91), was found on Saturday at his home at 5300 Miter Street, Carbonari corner, in the aforementioned town in the southern suburbs.

According to the sources consulted, a daughter of the retiree called 911, since her father did not answer the phone calls, so personnel from the sixth police station in Quilmes traveled to the place.

Upon arrival, the officers found a great disorder in all areas of the property and found the body of the victim in a room located at the back of the building.

Meanwhile, the daughter of the retiree told the investigators that her father lived alone and that so far she could not establish if there were shortages in the house.

The fact is investigated as a “homicide” by the prosecutor Marín Conde, of the Functional Unit of Instruction (UFI) 3 of Quilmes and by the local Departmental Division of Investigations.
